Celestial Dreams Styled Shoot
'Love you with no regret'

The Great Barn in Aynho, on the borders between Northamptonshire & Oxfordshire, was where I worked my very first wedding as a makeup artist, meaning it holds a special place in my heart. So when the lovely Anna & Jerry (@thegreatbarnaynho) agreed to host myself and a group of other suppliers for a styled shoot last summer, I was over the moon!

Also over the moon was the theme – Celestial Dreams! Victoria from Very Special Events (@very_special_events) and I worked hard with to create a unique twist on a wedding theme that became popular in 2020.

Concept – Love you with no regret. This comes from the meaning of origami stars (2 stars = Happy couple, 9 stars = Love for a long time, 55 stars = Love you with no regret)

3 keywords – Celestial, Romantic, Whimsical

Colours – Gold, White & Navy

You can see all the stars painstakingly threaded and hung by Victoria, beautifully displayed in The Croughton Room.

For videography, Gary at Teams Edwards Photography (@teamedwardsphotography) was a no brainer, and also massive thanks to him for introducing me to James at Flawless Photography (@flawlessphoto_uk); these two have skills that are second to none!

We went very traditional with the makeup look, using the Too Faced Born This Way Natural Nudes Palette, Ardell Demi Whispie lashes, NARS Radiant Longwear Foundation, and KKW Mrs West lipstick. The gorgeous Hollywood wave with moon and star hair accessories was done by my bridal industry bestie, Stacey from Salonista (@salonista_brides).

It was the hottest day of the year when we did this shoot so huge hats off to our lovely models, Rachael & Chris who we forced into full dress & suit attire!

I’m so thrilled with the results of this shoot, and would recommend all of the suppliers that were involved:
